🔒 Privacy by Design

Celar is a private photo & video vault built with privacy as its foundation. We believe your most personal data — your photos and videos — should belong to you and only you. We have zero interest in your content.

🚫 No Data Collection

Celar does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers or any third party. Specifically:

• We do not collect your photos, videos, or thumbnails
• We do not collect your name, email, or any personal information
• We do not collect your PIN, Face ID, or Touch ID data
• We do not collect device identifiers or usage patterns
• We do not collect your location or contacts

🛡️ End-to-End Encryption

All photos and videos stored in Celar are encrypted using military-grade AES-256 encryption directly on your device. Your encryption key never leaves your device. Even if someone accessed the raw files, they would be completely unreadable without your credentials.

📵 No Analytics or Tracking

We do not use any analytics frameworks, crash reporting tools, advertising SDKs, or tracking technologies. We have absolutely no way to know how you use the app, what you store in it, or even that you have it installed.

☁️ iCloud Backup (Optional)

Celar offers an optional iCloud backup feature (Premium). When enabled:

• Your encrypted vault is uploaded to your personal iCloud Drive
• The backup is additionally protected with a password you choose
• We never have access to your iCloud account or backup data
• All communication is between your device and Apple's iCloud servers
• You can delete your backup at any time from within the app

💳 In-App Purchases

Celar offers a one-time premium purchase processed securely through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or Apple ID. All transaction handling is managed entirely by Apple.

📱 On-Device Storage

All your data — encrypted photos, videos, albums, and app settings — is stored exclusively on your device (and optionally in your personal iCloud Drive if you enable backup). We operate no servers, databases, or cloud infrastructure that stores user data.

🧒 Children's Privacy

Celar does not collect any data from any user, including children under 13. Since no personal information is collected at all, the app complies with COPPA and similar regulations worldwide.

🌍 International Users

Since Celar does not collect or process any personal data, there is no data transfer across borders. The app is available in 19 languages and respects all local privacy regulations including GDPR (Europe), CCPA (California), and PIPEDA (Canada).

📝 Changes to This Policy

If we ever update this privacy policy, changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Given that we collect no data, we do not anticipate any significant changes.
