WordRing collects no personal data. There is no WordRing account, no advertising, and no tracking of you across other apps or websites. The game plays entirely offline. The only thing it can ever send anywhere is a set of anonymous usage statistics — and only if you say yes when asked (see Anonymous Usage Statistics below). It is off until you do.
Your best scores, unlocked achievements, Journey stars, daily streak, chosen language, ring skin and sound preferences are stored only on your device, in the app's own storage. Deleting the app deletes them.
If you are signed in to Game Center, your scores and achievements are sent to Apple's Game Center so leaderboards and achievements work. That exchange is handled by iOS and governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. WordRing never receives your Apple Account details. The game is fully playable without Game Center.
If you are signed in to iCloud, your progress — best scores, achievements, Journey stars and daily streak — is mirrored to your own iCloud storage so a second device picks it up. It travels between your devices through Apple, never through us, and we cannot read it. If you are not signed in to iCloud, nothing is mirrored and the game works exactly the same.
WordRing offers one optional, one-time purchase that unlocks additional ring skins. The payment is handled entirely by the App Store. WordRing never sees your card, your billing address or your Apple Account — it only learns whether the purchase is active. Everything else in the game, including both modes, all languages, the Journey, achievements and leaderboards, is available without paying.
If you allow it, WordRing can post one daily reminder about the day's challenge. It is scheduled on your device by iOS; no notification server is involved and nothing about you is sent anywhere. You can turn it off at any time in iOS Settings, and the game never asks before you have finished a first daily challenge.
All 27 dictionaries are bundled inside the app. Nothing you type, tap or spell is ever sent anywhere.
20 of WordRing's dictionaries are built from open dictionary data, credited here as required by their licenses:
None of this data is transmitted anywhere by the app — it ships inside the bundle, offline, like every other dictionary.
The first time you open WordRing (after the introduction), the app asks whether you agree to share anonymous usage statistics. This helps us understand how the game is used — which modes and languages people play, how the ring challenge is used, where the shop is opened — so we can improve it.
If you tap Share, iOS shows you the standard share sheet and you choose the destination. WordRing sends nothing on its own.
WordRing has no social features, no user-generated content, no chat and no advertising. Anonymous usage statistics are optional and contain nothing that identifies a person.
If the app ever starts handling data differently, this page is updated before that version ships, and the date below changes with it.
