Vow Prep

Overview

Vow Prep is a deck of honest questions for two people about to commit — married, moving in, engaged, in a civil partnership, or any union. You answer on your own phone, then compare and talk.

Vow Prep has no advertising and no third-party analytics or tracking of any kind. We (the developer) operate no server of our own. Everything Vow Prep stores lives on your device or in your own iCloud account — never on a server we run.

Information We Collect

None, by us. We do not collect, receive, sell or share your personal information. There is no account to create with us — Vow Prep uses the iCloud account already on your device, only if and when you choose to open a shared space with your partner.

What Vow Prep stores, and where:

• Your answers, your favorites and any questions you write yourself are stored on your device.
• If you open a Couple space and invite your partner (or others), the questions, answers and messages in that space sync through your own iCloud account (Apple's CloudKit), so the people you invited can take part. This never passes through a server of ours — it stays inside Apple's iCloud, under Apple's own Privacy Policy.
• A space is joined only by direct, named invitation. There is no public directory, no discovery feature, and no way for a stranger to find or join your space.

The Couple Space & Messages

Inside a shared Couple space you can exchange messages and each write your own questions. Because a space can include people you invite, Vow Prep asks you to accept its community guidelines, and gives every member a way to report a message or a person and to block anyone — which immediately removes their access to the space. We read every report sent through the form below and act on it. There is no tolerance for abusive or objectionable content.

Reminders

If you turn on reminders, Vow Prep schedules local notifications on your device. No data about you or your partner leaves your device to make this work.

Purchases

Vow Prep offers a single, optional one-time purchase — no subscription — that unlocks the full set of decks. It is processed directly by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We never see, receive or store your payment details, card number or Apple ID — Apple handles the transaction, the receipt and any restore, under Apple's own Privacy Policy. In a Couple space, only the person who started it ever needs to unlock — the people you invite never pay, and the unlock covers everyone in the space.

Data Storage & Deletion

Your answers and questions are stored on your device and, if you share a space, in your own iCloud account. You are in control:

• Leaving or deleting a Couple space removes your access and your local copy of it.
• Blocking someone removes their access to the space immediately.
• Deleting the app removes all of its data from your device. Anything already synced to your iCloud account is governed by your own iCloud settings.

Third Parties

None. Vow Prep contains no advertising SDKs, no analytics services and no third-party tracking libraries. The only party involved beyond you and the people you invite is Apple — for iCloud sharing, local notifications, and the in-app purchase (StoreKit).

Children's Privacy

Vow Prep is intended for adults preparing a shared life and is not directed to children under 13. We do not collect personal information ourselves, contain no advertising and no third-party content, and do not knowingly gather data from children on our own servers — because we operate none.
