Your Privacy Matters
The Opener is designed with privacy at its core. We believe your conversations — and your interest in them — belong to you alone. This policy explains exactly what we do not collect, store, or share, and why you can use the app with full confidence.
No Data Collection
The Opener does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to any server. Your preferences (language, enabled categories, sound setting, premium status) are stored locally on your device using Apple’s standard UserDefaults and never leave it.
No Analytics, No Tracking
We do not integrate any analytics framework, crash reporter, advertising SDK, or tracking technology. We have no telemetry, no event logging, no remote configuration. We have no way to know how, when, or how often you use the app.
No Account, No Sign-Up
The Opener requires no account, no email, no phone number, and no sign-up. The app is fully usable from the moment you install it.
Translations Are Pre-Bundled
All 1440 questions are pre-translated into 17 languages and bundled inside the app. No translation request is ever sent to any server. The app does not require an internet connection to function.
In-App Purchases
The Opener offers a single one-time premium unlock processed entirely by Apple’s App Store via StoreKit. We do not see, receive, or store any payment information. All transaction handling, receipts, and refunds are managed by Apple. Refer to Apple’s policies for details on how Apple processes your purchase.
App Store Ratings
After meaningful engagement (multiple cards drawn over multiple days), the app may invoke Apple’s standard requestReview() prompt. This prompt is shown and handled entirely by iOS — we never see your rating, review text, or whether you chose to leave one.
Confidentiality of Your Conversations
The questions you draw, copy, or share are never logged, transmitted, or analysed in any way. The app has no microphone, camera, or location access. What happens between you and the person across the table stays between you.
Children’s Privacy
The Opener is rated 12+ on the App Store and does not collect data from any user, including children. The app contains no advertising, no in-app messaging, no social features, and no external links exposed to the user except this Privacy Policy.
Changes to This Policy
If we ever update this policy, the new version will be published on this page with an updated date. Since we collect no data, we do not anticipate any material changes.
